To provide candidates with the skills to assist with water main and service construction and to achieve the Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water).
Prerequisites
Learners must have their EUSR Water SHEA and National Water Hygiene card prior to completion of the qualification.

• QNC101 Assist in locating and avoiding supply apparatus and sub-structures.
• QNC102 Working under supervision, excavate holes and trenches in ground and pavement structures.
• QNC104 Working under supervision, contribute to an efficient and effective work environment.
• QNC105W Working under supervision, contribute to health, safety and environment in the workplace, including hygiene.
• QNC106 Working under supervision, operate powered tools and equipment for network construction operations.
• QNC108W Working under supervision, assemble components to meet specifications for water network construction operations.
• QNC110 Assist in preparing resources and signing, lighting and guarding the area for site works.
• QNC107 Working under supervision, join polyethylene pipe by electrofusion welding.
Exam
The course consists of a practical demonstration and assessment of practical skills.
Learners and assessors agree a timetable to complete the collation of evidence, to meet the requirements of the client.
