Any person that will use the ACX ActSafe ascender for lifting of equipment
Prerequisites
Any person attending this training must have a basic Work at Height Certificate
Objective
The purpose of this course is :
to provide a thorough introduction with the ACX ascender and getting a good understanding of the function, pre use check and the correct care of the batteries
that participants learn how to operate the ACX ascender and familiarize them with the standard equipment lifting setups and their general applications.
Course content
Tell the typical fields of application for ACX ascenders
Explain to what ACX ascenders are approved
Explain why and when ACX ascenders not must be used
Explain the ACX safety guidelines
Perform an introduction of an ACX ActSafe ascender and describe all parts and controls and its functions
Explain how to take best care of the ACX battery and how they work in relation to the ascender
Explain and demonstrate a pre use check of the ascender
Explain and demonstrate the starting of the ascender
Perform safe and appropriate rigging according to local regulation and best practice
Explain and demonstrate correct rope feeding into the ascender
Explain and demonstrate safe and correct operation of the ACX ascenders
Explain and demonstrate the 4 equipment lifting setups and what are they used for and what the advantages and disadvantages of each particular setup are
Demonstrate a change between setups while maintaining a 100% tie off of ascender and equipment
Exam
Delegates who successfully complete the training course will be awarded a certificate of attendance that will be valid for 2 years
