Objective
The aim of GWO’s Basic Safety CoHE training module is to enable the participants to act safely while working in the vicinity of hazardous energies in the wind industry and be able to perform assigned tasks safely. Overall learning objective for the Basic Safety CoHE Refresher Module: The participants can solve the challenge of how to act safely while working in the vicinity of hazardous energies in the wind industry and will on their own initiative seek guidance when needed (Ability, basic level).
Course content
Identify the types of hazardous energies on wind turbines Identify the injuries associated with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic energies List the responsibilities of a qualified person and an ordinary person Recognise the hazards and risks associated with hazardous energy tasks Identify standard and additional PPE equipment Identify the steps of the LOTO procedure for electrical, mechanical and hydraulic energies Recognise the importance of isolation
