Target group
This training is aimed at offshore personnel who are required to transfer from crew boats to offshore vessels, and will identify the potential hazards associated with such transfers.
Prerequisites
Sea Survival Certificate (either STCW PST/ GWO Sea Survival or OPITO BOSIET)
Objective
The aim of the training is to give attendees the required knowledge and skills to perform safe offshore personal transfers from crew boats to offshore vessels and vica versa. The training will be structured to cover the hazards associated with such activities, the controls used to help mitigate the risks and the safe procedures adopted when transferring. This will be achieved through theoretical and practical training.
Course content
Theory: Brief Overview on the Legislation and Guidance covering the safe transfer of personnel offshore The different hazards associated with Personnel Transfer offshore The controls that can be used to help reduce the risk Safe working procedures that should be adopted when transferring offshore Practical: All Attendees will safely transfer from the crew boat to offshore vessel and vice versa
Exam
On successful completion of the course content, all attendees will be awarded a RelyOn Nutec In-House certificate Course are conducted at RelyOn Nutec training centres at Teesside or by prior arrangement at customers premises
