Objective
This 4 hour course is designed to bring a level of safety awareness to personnel engaged in operating a hydraulic pedestal crane. The course content covers safety concerns when crane operating, rigging, moving personnel, hand signals, inspecting, and selecting slings. The content for this course was taken in part from the current edition of the API RP 2D regulations.
Course content
Upon the completion of the course, delegates will have an adequate understanding of the following: -Load Charts and lifting capabilities -Proper lift planning -Crane pre-use monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections -Mechanical and non-mechanical cranes operations -Handling the load -Maintenance and lubrication -Limiting devices
Exam
The candidate will be required to score a minimum competency of 70% on a written exam.
