None however OSHA 1910.1030(g)(2)(iv) requires annual training within one year of their previous training for all employees.
Objective
The candidate will be able to: - describe the health effects associated with BBP - differentiate between the hepatitis viruses - explain a company exposure control plan - explain who are potential candidates to exposure to BBP - list appropriate PPE - explain techniques used to inform employees and the general public
Course content
The topics covered during this training are: - definition of bloodborne pathogens - the different types of viruses i.e. HBV, HIV, etc - methods of exposure - occupations that are at risk to exposure - exposure control - personal protective equipment - exposure control plan
Exam
The candidate will be evaluated through demonstration.
