This 12-hr course (1.5 days) is intended to meet the training requirements established by the standard of competence for basic training as set out in NVIC 08-14 Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-1 of the STCW Code and 46 CFR 11.302(a)(1), 11.302(d)(1) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(1), 12.602(d)(1).

Objective
The Personal Survival Techniques standards of competence required by 46 CFR 11. 302(a)(l) and 12.602(a)(l); AND The Personal Survival Techniques standards of competence required by STCW Code Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-1, as amended 2010, meeting the National Assessment Guidelines from NVIC 08-l 4(Ch-l) Tasks 1. I.A through 1.14.N inclusive; NVICs 12-14(Ch-3) and 02-18 Task 19.1; and NVIC 13-14(Ch-l) Task 13.1.A.
Applicants who have successfully completed your course need not present completed "Task Control Sheets" for these assessments in application for STCW certification.

Exam
In order to successfully complete this course, each candidate must obtain a grade percentage of no less than 70% on all examinations. In addition to the written test, the delegate will have to successfully complete a number of hands on and field exercises as defined in the practical section of our submission.
