Course content
Delegates will undergo theoretical and practical training in Pediatric First Aid on the following subjects: 1. What is Pediatric First Aid? 2. Prevention 3. 4Cs of Pediatric First Aid 4. Difficulty Breathing 5. CPR and Choking Relief 6. Loss of Responsiveness, fainting, and Head Injuries 7. Seizures 8. Allergic reactions 9. Bites and Stings 10. Poisonings and Ingestions 11. Controlling Infection, Bleeding, and Swelling 12. Bone, Joint, and Muscle Injuries 13. Burns 14. Cold- and Heat- related Injuries 15. Eye Injuries 16. Oral Injuries 17. Common Chronic Diseases 18. Preparedness
Exam
Delegates will be assessed against the Learning Outcomes specified in the Content Section using direct observation. Should a delegate encounter challenges to meet these Learning Outcomes, RON shall provide additional coaching as an opportunity to meet those requirements
