Target group
Crew assigned to repeat basic training
Prerequisites
Valid certificate of Basic Safety Training or previously completed Basic Safety Training for seafarers. If certificate are older than 5 years you need 12 month of active sea duty in the last five years, while certificate was valid.
Objective
Updating the students understanding and skills to protect him/herself and others in a crisis situation and contribute to safe behavior. After completing the course, students should have maintained and updated knowledge and skills in: - Firefighting - Resque at sea - Medical first aid
Course content
According to the STCW code: - A-VI/1-1 - A-VI/1-2 - A-VI/1-3 - A-VI/1-4 Approval STCW-78 With addition Manila 2010.
Exam
Written test with at least 75% correct answers. Passed exam is valid for 60 months.
