Target group

Offshore personnel who need to repeat the basic training every four years.

Prerequisites

Valid Norwegian Oil and Gas Basic Safety Training course or equivalent training valid according to Norwegian Oil and Gas Guideline 002.

Objective

The course aims to update the delegates' understanding and competence in order to ensure their own and other's safety, both while working and during a crisis. Upon completion, delegates should have maintained and updated their knowledge in the following areas: - Safe behaviour - Use of hand extinguisher - Life saving first aid - Using the escape chute - Correct use of survival suit with re-breathing system - Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)

Course content

The course follows the training guidelines issued by Norwegian Oil and Gas, and covers the following topics: Preventive safety/ protective work Fire protection Sea survival First aid Helicopter evacuation with the use of a re-breathing system. The course mainly consists of practical training and exercises.

None. Delegates need to participate in, and complete, all modules
