Prerequisites
Basic safety training.
Objective
After completing the course the participants should be capable of carrying out all crew functions and leading evacuation by skid lifeboat and escape chute in a safe and controlled manner.
Course content
The course covers the following topics:
- The boat's technical installations/ emergency systems
- Crew's duties and tasks
- Communication with evacuation management and assisting vessels
- Crisis reactions
- Skid launching
- Manoeuvring
- Use of pyrotechnical equipment
- Launching of escape chute and liferafts.
Exam
Written and practical exam. A certificate will be issued if the exam is passed.
