Prerequisites
Completed advanced safety training in fire-fighting and fire management according to STCW Code Table A-VI/3.
Objective
After the course, participants should be able to demonstrate competence as outlined in STCW Code Table A-VI/3 in the management of firefighting operations on board ships.
Course content
STCW Code Table Section A-VI/3
- Lead firefighting operations on board ships
- Organize and train fire teams
- Inspect and maintain fire detection and firefighting systems and equipment
Exam
Passing the theoretical examination and satisfactory completion of the practical part form the criteria for successfully completing the course.
