Seafarers who are to work on board cargo ships with a length of less than 24 meters, less than 500 gross tonnage in a traffic area of small coastal speed or less. The syllabus is based on Rule VI, Section A of the STCW Convention.
NB The course does not give approval to muster on larger convention ships.
Prerequisites
Safety training for seafarers on smaller cargo ships, possibly Basic Safety Training for seafarers, IMO50. 12 months sailing time during the last 5 years.
Objective
Participants will receive training in preventive safety, theoretical and practical sea rescue, first aid, fire theory and firefighting.
Course content
The course contains theoretical preparatory work on e-learning, which must be completed before attending the course centre.

Exam
Written test that requires that 75% of the answers are correct.
Passed exam is valid for 60 months.
