Objective
Participants will gain knowledge about: The risk and danger the use of maritime battery systems represents. Get customized safety training for the personnel involved, including procedures, plans & instructions and eventual checklists to secure the maritime battery systems technical conditions and suitability before use
Course content
The content is arranged after "Rundskriv 04/22" from the Norwegian Maritime Directorate (Sjøfartsdepartementet) After completion of training, the person who is going to lead or carry out work tasks related to operating, perform inspection or maintenance of maritime battery systems, should: - know about battery chemistry and the different types of battery cells - know about different frequency forms - know about important technical concepts for battery cells - be able to explain the dangers associated with battery systems in a security perspective - be able to explain the dangers associated with different risks (temperature, poisoning and ignition) - be able to explain the help system - be able to explain the battery systems important and critical alarms, with regard to possible cause and consequence of alarms - be able to account for handling of hazards and incidents that can occur in maritime battery systems - be able to assess risk related to the battery system individually and in collaboration with others - have gained a good understanding of the situation in the event of incidents in the battery room
