Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader (FOERTL) Training

This Product is for existing offshore emergency team leaders who are required to revalidate their OPITO OERTL certification by completing training scenarios that they are unable to undertake offshore.

A valid Initial OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader (OERTL) certificate OR A valid Further OPITO OERTL Training certificate Medical Entry Requirements: Possess a valid, current offshore medical certificate or Possess an operator approved medical certificate or Undergo medical screening by the OPITO approved Centre.

OPITO Code: 4650 To set out the basic training, further practice and assessment requirements for Offshore Emergency Response Team Leaders which will be conducted at an onshore training centre. Learning Outcomes: • Leading practical fire and non-fire related incidents as OERTL • Participating in practical fire and non-fire related incidents as an OERTM

- Implementing initial response plan by conducting an effective Incident Brief for the emergency team. - Establish and maintain effective communications with all relevant ER personnel. - Allocating and confirming the teams duties and responsibilities. - Directing ER team’s response and entry to the incident area in safe manner - Operate ER equipment such as fixed or portable firefighting equipment and rescue equipment - Effective delegation of tasks to ER team members. - Dynamic risk assessment throughout the emergency. - Effectively monitor breathing apparatus (BA) control. - Recognize and effectively deal with stress in the OERTM. - Ensure casualties receive appropriate due care and attention. - Conduct post-incident debrief and ensure operational readiness. No. of Learners: Minimum is 6 and maximum is 12 Mode: Classroom training with practical demonstration & exercises on Fire Training Unit simulating the offshore scenarios. Location: RelyOn Training Centre at Qatar Instructor: Competent Instructional staff with proven experience in fire fighting at supervisory level in emergency response and delivering and assessing OPITO fire courses.
