A valid Initial Offshore Emergency Response Team Member Training (OERTM) certificate OR A valid Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Member Training certificate. Medical Entry Requirements: Possess a valid, current offshore medical certificate or Possess an operator approved medical certificate or Undergo medical screening by the OPITO approved Centre.
Objective

Course content
Theory: The role and key responsibilities of the OERTL - The emergency response arrangements - How to lead the response to an incident - Leadership and Discipline - Human Behaviour under Stress Assessment - Planning, Control and Organization - Communications Procedures - Breathing Apparatus Control Procedures - Heat, Humidity and Safety of Fire Teams - Pressurized Liquids and Gas Fires - Compartmental Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue - Non-Fire Incidents - Closed Containers and Vessel Fire Fighting - Hazardous Materials Practical: Leading the OERT in a clear and confident manner in response to critical incidents. No. of Learners: Minimum is 6 and maximum is 12 Mode: Classroom training with practical demonstration & exercises on Fire Training Unit simulating the offshore scenarios. Location: RelyOn Training Centre at Qatar Instructor: Competent Instructional staff with proven experience in fire fighting at supervisory level in emergency response and delivering and assessing OPITO fire courses.
Exam
Learners will be assessed against all the knowledge and practical learning outcomes specified in accordance with the assessment guidance detailed in each unit of the OPITO product. Certification: Upon successful achievement of all learning outcomes, participants will be awarded a certificate with validity of 02 years.
