"The Basic Banksman NOGEPA 1.9A course is designed for personnel involved in lifting and hoisting activities on offshore mining and oil & gas installations in the Netherlands. This certified training ensures delegates can safely and efficiently perform banksman duties in accordance with industry standards and legislation.
This course is intended for personnel assigned to hoisting and lifting operations on offshore mining installations, including those responsible for signaling and guiding crane operators during lifting activities."

Objective
The objective of the NOGEPA 1.9A Working with Loads module is to ensure delegates can act safely and effectively as a banksman during hoisting operations offshore.
During this intensive 3-day training, participants gain knowledge of:

- Relevant offshore legislation and standards
- Crane movements, lifting forces, and load dynamics

Offshore Crane & Load Handling
- Safe use of offshore cranes
- Determining mass and weight of loads
- Different lifting techniques and operations

- Special loads handling
- Winches, chain hoists, tirfors and sheaves
- Transport of personnel
Practical Skills
- Correct selection and use of lifting tools
- Communicating load movements via radio

Exam
"Delegates are assessed through:
- Written or oral theoretical examination
- Practical evaluation by the instructor
Upon successful completion of all learning objectives, the course will be registered in the delegate’s Personal Safety Logbook, in accordance with NOGEPA requirements."
