This course provides flight attendants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively identify, select, and operate fire extinguishers in an aviation environment. Participants will learn about the chemistry of fire, the different classes of fires; the types of fire extinguishers used on board aircraft and the limitations and proper handling of each device.
Course content
The training emphasizes early fire recognition, correct extinguisher selection, safe firefighting techniques, and post-fire procedures to ensure passenger and aircraft safety. Realistic scenarios and hands-on practice reinforce decision-making under pressure and adherence to aviation safety regulations.
Upon completion, flight attendants will be confident in their ability to respond quickly and appropriately to on board fire emergencies and support overall cabin safety.
