Personnel with Norwegian Oil and Gas (NOROG) Basic Safety training looking to upgrade to STCW basic safety training for seafarers.

Delegates need to produce a valid Basic Safety training course certificate issued according to the directive set by Norwegian Oil and Gas (NOROG).
Objective
Upon completion of the course, delegates should demonstrate the skill and competence described in STWC table A-VI/1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and 1-4.
Course content
The course covers the directives set by STCW chapter VI/I, part A-VI/1 and tables A-VI/1-1. 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, and which are not covered by the Basic Safety training course for Norwegian Oil and Gas (NOROG).
Exam
The course includes both a theoretical and practical test.
Upon passing the exam, a competency certificate for basic safety training will be issued in accordance with table A-VI/1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and 1-4, with an issue date matching the issue date of the presented course certificate for basic safety training from Norwegian Oil and Gas (NOG).
The course certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
