Course content
Acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the function of safety guard when entering and working in confined spaces.
This includes :
- Applying permit systems and entry procedures.
- Working correctly with fall protection
- Communication with entrants
- Knowing the potential hazards and risks of confined spaces
- Knowledge of safety measures when working in confined spaces
- Interpret measurements
- Correctly respond and act in case of emergencies
- Apply techniques of first-line intervention
Exam
Delegates will be assessed according to the learning outcomes by means of direct observation and supplementary oral questions when appropriate.
The assessment is to be conducted by practical scenarios based on the maritime environment.
The validation period for this module is 36 months.
Course is conducted at RelyOn Belgium bv training centre at Ostend.
