Objective
The aims and objectives of the Initial Training Programme are to equip the delegate with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the role of Offshore Helideck Team Member effectively.
This will be achieved through both theoretical and practical training

Day 1
Theory:

Role of Helideck Team Member
Helideck Specification
PPE
Heli-deck Communications
Dangerous Goods
Pre-Planning Helideck Emergencies
Helicopter Construction, Operations and Incident Hazards
BA Introduction
Practical:
Selection and Donning of PPE
Hose Management
Day 2
Practical:
B.A set familiarisation (Donning and Doffing)
Stretcher Rescue Equipment - Casualty Handling (Including First Aid)
Selection and Use of Fixed and Portable Firefighting Systems on Heli-deck
B.A - Search and Rescue Exercise in Helicopter
Day 3
Assessments:
Maintain a state of readiness
Carry out routine equipment checks
Respond to emergencies
Minimise loss to helicopter and platform structure
Please Note
As the training is delivered offshore, the practical element will not include training on live fires (This will be carried out as `dry simulations')
Each training day will require approx 6hrs contact time (this does not include lunch and breaks)
Exam
Delegates will receive a RelyOn Nutec In House certificate on successful completion of the assessment
Course are conducted on the clients premises offshore
Please Note: Instructor/Assessor would need to visit premises at least a day before commencing training to be able to plan Practical Exercises around the available Facilities and Equipment
