This course is for personnel that is required to understand the basics of Ex principles, and qualified electrical technicians that needs a foundational course before taking more advance technical qualifications.

There are no prerequisites to participate in this digital course. In order to get the CompEx certification, the learner needs to upload their data to the CompEx website (https://registration.compexcertification.com/) and a picutre will be required to comply with CompEx requirements. The ULN needs to be sent afterwards to RelyOn to compex.nl@relyon.com.
Objective
This course is aim to provide an introduction into potentially explosive or flammable environment where different gases, vapours and dust can create a hazardous atmosphere.
Course content
Describe the elements that make up a hazardous atmosphere and the precautions required
Identify the correct descriptions used for the criteria that classify a hazardous gas, vapor, or dust location
Identify the correct national regulations directives, and standards which relate to hazardous areas
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the main protection concepts, categories, and protection levels that apply to equipment certified for use in hazardous areas
Explain the roles, responsibilities, and procedures in hazardous area safety management
Exam
There is an assessment in the course and is within the expected duration. Afterwards, to get the CompEx certification, an external exam needs to be taken through https://compexjtltd.surpass.com/LaunchTest, the keycode to access the exam will be provided by RelyOn once this digital prerequisite course is completed.
