This course is for agents, supervisors and network managers with entry level experience of working in a utility environment, and managers with no formal qualifications in water networks.

Objective
• Would give new supervisors or members of staff involved in main laying activities a good basic working knowledge of techniques used with in the water industry related to all aspects of laying a water main and services.
Course content
• P.E. Technology Electrofusion welding.
• P.E. Technology Butt Fusion welding.
• Service laying of different materials.
• Pressure testing of water mains.
• Chlorinating & commissioning of water mains.
• Mechanical fittings & toolings.
• Valve operations & Hydrant techniques.
