Objective
The Industrial Command Foundation Training is intended for those personnel who require a basic understanding of Industrial firefighting tactics and techniques. It is intended for personnel who have a supervisory role within an Emergency Organisation but do not have a Fire related educational background.
This training will be a prerequisite for the Industrial Fire Brigade Command Training (IFBIC) if the delegate has not followed a RelyOn Fire Team Leader or equivalent training.
This e-learning course can also be used by anyone who needs a background in industrial firefighting and can also be used as a foundation course or refresher training for a Fire team leader training.
Course content
Explain the chemical process associated with fire
State properties used to reference flammable materials
Describe conditions created with fire growth
Recognise differing behaviour patterns of petrochemical materials
Explain elements which impact gas and vapour dispersion
Describe conditions related with Vapour Cloud Explosions (VCE)
Recognise factors leading to a Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion (BLEVE)
Exam
The assessment is taken during the course and is within the expected duration.
