Helicopter Landing Operations (HLO)

Personnel who perform tasks in the helideck of the offshore and onshore installations, HLO, HDA and the HERTM, workers or sea crew in general that has to assist in the helideck.

Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: * Recognize the roles and responsibilities of the different categories thatperform tasks in the helideck. * Perform when it is within its obligations the corresponding tasks in thehelideck. * Involved in the activities required during an emergency efficiently * Comply with the paperwork and administrative procedures related tothe helideck.

The following topics will be covered during the course: Virtual theory (2 days): * IntroductionOperations on helideck. * Helicopter, helideck, hazards and management systems. * Responsibilities of the HLO and the HDA during the landing anddeparture of the helicopter. * Cargo and passenger handling. * HLO and HDA Facilities normally unattended. Practical session at our center (1/2 day): * Helideck Emergency Response Team Members. HERTM
