This training programme is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new (or returning) to the offshore oil and gas industry in a tropical environment
Prerequisites
Additional medical requirements for Module 1: Helicopter Escape and Safety.
-Have a valid psychophysical certificate, which proves to be fit to carry outthe practical exercises.
-In the event that a delegate has a specific medical condition, they mustbring a medical certificate, issued by a registered medical personnel,stating that their medical condition is under control and the delegate isfit to participate in the practical exercises.
--Complete at the beginning of the training the medical aptitude formdeclaring the current physical/medical state of the delegate, prior toparticipating in the practical exercises in the water, as well as declaring ifthe delegate has any medical condition or medical history that makes himincapable to participate in the training.
Objective
Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: Have the knowledge of safety when boarding a helicopter, as well as the procedure of how to act in case of an emergency and how to escape.
Course content
The following topics will be covered during the course:
Tehory
-Helicopter Safety and Escape Training.
-Sea Survival.
-TEMPSC (Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft)
Practical assessment:
-Assessment of the learning outcomes specified in sections OIS-81 andOIS-83, T-HUET standard
Exam
Delegates must attend the training center to conduct the practical assessment, according to the learning outcomes specified in section OIS-81 and OIS-83, within 90 calendar days after the completion of the virtual elements. This must be scheduled in advance to ensure availability.
