The course also complies with the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association’s guidelines applicable to lifeboat operators on fixed and floating installations. After completion of the course and passing the examination, participants may apply for a Certificate of Proficiency from the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

Organising and leading evacuation from a vessel using survival craft
Preparing the lifeboat, organising embarkation, lowering and releasing the boat, manoeuvring it and leading lifeboat operations on the water
Emergency systems and emergency equipment on board
Methods for helicopter rescue
Use of fast rescue boats (man‑over‑board boats)
