Objective
The course provides the participants with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to safely enter confined spaces and carry out the necessary life-saving actions in the event of an emergency. Special attention is paid to the procedures to be followed and pre-entry checks.
Course content
Theoretical part: - Course introduction - Definition of confined / enclosed space - Legislation - Health and safety risks including specific risks in offshore environment or specific risks related to a WTG - Pre-entry checks and procedures including gas-testing, monitoring and ventilation - Work and entry permits - Confined space entry - Confined space guard / supervision - Confined space escape and rescue including including Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) - First- and second-line intervention Practical part: - Pre-entry check and procedures - Confined space entry methods including access via tripod - Rescue and evacuation exercises including self-rescue with EEBD
Exam
To successfully complete this module, delegates must be able to demonstrate active participation in the evaluation.
