Enable workers who enter in the operational area and maintain direct contact with the process, carrying out the operation, maintenance or emergency assistance, promoting a work safety awareness for accident prevention in oil platforms, explaining procedures to be used in this environment.
Course content
Theory: 7h
1. Accidents with flammable: their causes and the preventive measures existing in the operational area;
2. Responses to emergencies with combustible and flammable, according to the Emergency Response Plan described in the item 37.30 of this NR;
3. Process safety notions for platforms;
4. Safety in the electrical installations’ operation in explosive atmospheres;
Practice: 1h
1. Practical on-board activity of at least one hour, indicating on the spot the systems and equipment available for firefighting.

Exam
The students will be evaluated through direct observation.
