This NOGEPA, OPITO approval and Norwegian Oil&Gas acceptance training

emergency situation.
Important Information about CAT B EBS for Norway
We would like to inform you about a recent change related to working in Norway and Norwegian waters. As has now become known, the Emergency Breathing System (EBS) is once again mandatory in Norway.
Before booking an Offshore Safety training, it is important to know whether you will be working on a platform in Norway.
• Will you be working in Norway?
Then the CAT B EBS training is mandatory.
We advise you to book the FOET (refresher) with CA EBS + EBS (OPITO 5850 + 5858).
• Will you not be working in Norway?
Then the FOET (refresher) with CA EBS is sufficient.
• Do you only need a HUET training?
The same requirements apply here.
If you already hold a valid BOSIET or FOET with CA EBS but do not yet have CAT B EBS, we can also offer a separate CAT B EBS module.
Please contact our Customer Service Team for more information.

Objective
The course is designed to meet the further offshore safety and emergency
response training requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil
and gas industry. To attend this training you must have a valid BOSIET or
NOGPA 0.5B, FOET certificate. In this training you will refresh your skills on
the subjects helicopter safety and escape, basic firefighting and
emergency first aid according to OPITO standards.
The aim is to provide the delegates with the opportunity to practise and
demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practise
during drills, exercises and emergency training offshore.
The objectives are that delegates will be able to:
1. Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety
equipment and follow procedures in preparing for and during helicopter
emergencies with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter
following ditching.
2. Demonstrate that they can use basic firefighting equipment effectively,
and use self-rescue techniques in low visibility and completely obscured
visibility situations e.g. smoke filled areas.
3. Demonstrate that they can perform basic first aid.
Also included in this course is in accordance to Norwegian O&G
requirements the escape chute (skyscape techniques).
